| Day
Spa Defined |
A Day Spa such as Senjakala Spa is a business establishment
which people visit for personal care treatments
such as massages and facials. It is conceptually
near similar to a beauty salon in that it is only
visited for the duration of the treatment. In contrast,
a destination spa offers the same services in a
hotel setting where people reside for one or more
days. (© Wikipedia)
Typical day spa services include:
- massage
- facials
— facial cleansing with a variety of products
- waxing
— the removal of body hair with hot wax
- body
treatments such as body wraps, aromatherapy
- skin
exfoliation
We
do not have any Sauna, Steam Room, or Jacuzzi. Our
services are primarily treatment-only.
Our
staffs are trained and certified by the Pacific
Spa Academy to provide almost all the above services.
At Senjakala Spa, we equate all the services above
as Treatments, and therefore, qualified staffs are
respectfully called Therapists.

| When
You Arrive |
Please
check in at reception 15 minutes prior to your
scheduled appointment so you have time to shower and
to avoid delayed treatment times.
Let
reception staff (or your therapist) know if you have
any medical or physical conditions or injuries
which might be of concern to you or which might contraindicate
certain types of therapy, especially heart disease,
high blood pressure, skin inflammation, rashes or
infections, vericose veins, etc. Treatment is not
advisable if you've recently undergone surgery or
certain types of skin treatments (peels, dermal abrasion,
etc.).
Put

any jewelry that could scratch or interfere with a
smooth therapy experience. We accept no responsibility
for the loss of money or valuables of any kind brought
into the spa premises.
We
do not encourage the use of hand phones
once you reach your treatment room. This is to make
sure that you and our other guests enjoy the most
relaxing experience possible! So please, turn off
(or switch to silent or vibrate mode) your hand phone,
pager, etc.

| During
Treatment or Therapy |
Most
body treatments are best enjoyed without clothing.
For certain massage treatments (like Thai Temple traditional
massage) loose clothing may be more comfortable and
we will provide shorts or pants on request. For body
treatments like scrubs and wraps, we also have disposable
underwear available on request. However, please always
wear whatever is (or is not) comfortable for
you to get the most out of your Senjakala experience.
Give
your therapist feedback regarding your experience
and feel free to ask any questions about anything
he does as your session continues. Be sure to tell
your therapist if something makes you uncomfortable
or causes any pain. You should feel respected
and honoured, and the session should provide opportunities
for you to relax and get back in touch with yourself.
Breathe
deeply and regularly, stressing your exhalation. Imagine
your body becoming heavy and sinking into the table
or mat. As the therapist locates areas of tension,
consciously allow yourself to breath and relax into
those areas.
Sometimes
during a massage or other type of treatment emotions
will surface. It may be of great benefit to release
and work through them if you feel comfortable doing
so.

process shall be made thenafter receiving the letter.

Where
is your Staff Gallery?
Can
I choose my therapist? |
Due
to the continuous misuse of mistreating the staff
gallery by certain parties to equate it as pornography
or to malliciously spread false intent over each staff,
we have permanently removed it from
our website as of May 2006. Kindly be reminded that
Senjakala Spa is in the business of providing quality
treatments, and thus, 'merchandizing' our staffs is
not, and has never been, part of our practice. So
please STOP asking us about how you
can select your therapists either online or in-house
via a gallery of some sort.
Should
you find other third-party websites other than that
from the domain of Senjakala.com featuring our therapists'
photographs, statistics, qualification, etc, please
inform us or ignore it altogether as they are not
affiliated with us.
Each
of our therapists are trained, tested, and trained
again continuously each month in order for
us to be assured that they are providing you with
the standards of service at par with that of other
internationally known Spa and Wellness Centers.
For
first timers, it is advised to leave the assignment
of therapist be done by our qualified Customer Services
team. We shall assign the therapist to you accordingly
based on their qualification and experience, and will
not assign you one who has not yet being tested on
his skills for any particular treatment you wish to
go for.
However,
if you are particularly familiar with a certain therapist(s),
you are required to place a reservation either by
phone to +603-2031-8082, or through our Bookings
page.
We
will do our best to accommodate your request but subject
to therapists' work schedules, qualifications, and
confirmed prior bookings, so please understand if
we need to make a change. If
you have not placed a prior confirmed reservation,
there will be NO guarantee your request will be met.
